The trade war between US and China has been started by US President by Donald Trump where he imposed 25% tariff on steel imports and 10% levy on aluminium imports at the start of March,19. There has been tensions between US and China regarding the issue since the declaration of imposed duty, but this can be taken as an opportunity as both the countries have strengthened their customs abd duties on each other but have soften them for other countries. This may lead to the acquisition of some of the companies by big ones, but it may also play out for developing countries where the shipping line business will increase. Considering that US implied duties on China, then China may shift its manufacturing to overseas to countries like India, Thailand where they don’t have to bear the “Made in China” tag. As products gets manufactured in India it may beneficial for India shipping lines. However, this trade-war plays out, it will generate waves of disruption all over the industries and at all levels.
