Anti-Dumping Duty
Additional import duty is imposed when imported goods are priced at less than the normal price charged in the exporter's domestic market and cause material injury to the importing country's domestic industry. Anti-dumping is a measure used to rectify the situation arising because of the dumping of goods and its trade distortive effect. In fact, anti-dumping is an instrument to ensure fair trade and is not just a measure of protection per se for the domestic industry. It helps provide relief to the domestic industry against the injury being caused by dumping.
