FINANCIAL EXPRESS | Govt to infuse Rs 1,500 cr into Exim Bank next fiscal

The government has decided to infuse Rs 1,500 crore capital into state-owned Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) in the next financial year. The amount is Rs 200 crore higher than the provision made by the government for the current fiscal. The government has earmarked Rs 1,300 crore capital infusion for the bank.

India's global seafood exports during the 2019-20 financial year were valued at US$6.68 billion. Exports to China, valued at US$1.37 billion then, have fallen by around 40 per cent in worth between April and December last year, compared with the same period in 2019. China's rigorous testing of Indian seafood consignments comes when the two countries are engaging in a proxy tit-for-tat war that has also led to India banning a host of Chinese apps.

FRESH PLAZA | Shanghai Pudong Airport handling 40% more international cargo during Chinese New Year rush

Taking under consideration the strong demand for air transportation during the Spring Festival rush, since January 28, Pudong Airport has been operating at a high level of cargo flights and volume, ensuring a daily average of 284 all-cargo flights, flights converted from passenger flights to cargo flights and temporary cargo charter flights. As of February 7, the peak flight number per day reached 314, and the volume of inbound and outbound cargo increased by nearly 40% year-on-year.
